Edenvale Elementary will raise its California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) scores by 10% in both English language arts and math annually for the next three years. This organizational performance goal is derived from our mission which is to close the English learner achievement gap. Since 75% of Edenvale students are English language learners, to achieve this goal, we will need a strong rise in academic performance from our English learners. This goal was established in close consultation with our two instructional coaches as well as the instructional leadership team, comprised of one teacher from each grade level. To set the goal, we looked at a variety of data from the past four years including CAASPP data, California English Language Development Test (CELDT) data, i-Ready data, and other reading and writing assessments.
